I think if it was bought by a member of the military while they were stationed out of country they can legally bring it back in. Maybe that's what happened here?

Still not legal, sadly

Nope. Once it's been brought in illegally, it's illegal forever

Or just bring it into Canada and register it... which shouldn't be a problem now that it's 15 years old. Then "legally import" it from Canada at some point.

Befriend a Canadian resident, title in their name, pay insurance for it, then borrow it. Bring it back for plate renewal however often that is.

I remember my dad was stationed in Yokusaka , japan from 2001-2003. Now, as you know, this was the era of the skylines, and in turn, many of the officers bought skylines. Sadly, when they had to leave, they had to sell their skylines.

I had to watch the Hammond video (0:24) to see the hidden handle for the rear door.

Whoever bids on this is an idiot. Chances are it will be seized if Customs hears of it.

I've noticed that Seattle has lots of late 90's Gray Imports. I wonder if they're all imported from Canada, or from the vehicle's actual country of origin.

Ahhh, well that makes me sad. I always hoped that we actually extended that luxury to our serving gear heads. I guess not :(
